Week 002 - Project Settlement
Hours: 1-2
We found out that we're doing the project on Friends of Westgate Park. We got some general info off Tom, he said that they were putting together stuff but wouldn't have it till next week, which is fine.
I did a quick google search on Westgate Park in the morning - there wasn't too much there, except for generalities about touristy type information: where it was, and how it used to be a WWII site.
So not really much to do - I discussed very briefly with Peter that we should get cracking on the documentation because we have to hand it over to the client to read - so we should give them as much time as we can get. But I won't worry about it too much, not until we get information/content on the project and organise a meeting time.
Everything feels a bit up in the air at the moment - but I'm sure things will start cementing down pretty soon.
We decided to have a look at the park but due to some scheduling issues with Peter, he said that he would go and take a few shots of it. I thought it was a bit premature to go anyway, I would prefer to first decide what we need to do before heading down... and the weather was looking pretty ominous. :p
So at this stage - a look at the documentation, I think we'll seperate it into Peter doing design work and Gannt chart and I'll cover the rest - as we have done in the past.
I think it'll work out well, we have pretty broad space of skill sets between us - I'm pretty confident with html, and Peter's quite good with design and maybe flash? I'm not sure about that. For the two of us being in the Communication/Multimedia degree and with broad sets of skills - I think we should be okay with this project. The only thing I'm afraid of is that with only two of us, I wonder if we can handle the work load. We did do pretty well last semester - so hopefully everything will work out.
